PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS
Overall Objective
To contribute to the reduction of over 1 billion people on the planet without access to clean water , to fair sharing and effective use of scarce water resources, and to the improvement of the quality of life of public school pupils and underserved communities in Nigeria.
Specific Objective
To emphasize and increase awareness about the importance of clean water and proper hygiene as essential elements for every human being, and a sustainable resource for a healthy life.
Plan Results
Provision of water containers to public schools across the 20 geographical locations. Provision of water purifiers to public schools across the 20 geographical locations healthy life. Water is life talk to public schools and underserved communities across all the geographic focus areas.
Stakeholders
The stakeholders of the project include Outstanding Youth Corpers selected across the geograghic focus areas
Social Impact
The health of the community is a pre-requisite for a successful and growing society. The Water Day Project raised awareness among public primary and secondary schools, and underserved communities about the importance of clean water and proper hygiene as essential elements for every human beings, and a sustainable resource for a healthy life.
Provision for Social Needs
Since social problems are dysfunctions of the society. However. individuals, communities, and organizations are indeed organs of the society, and such problems affect every organs of the society.
The Orbus Water Project initiative served as a platform for meeting and solving social problems through the provision of water containers, purifiers and water talks to public primary, secondary and underserved communities across 30 locations in 7 geographic areas in Nigeria.
