One-Day Vocational Training at Itire Community, Surulere, Lagos

On Saturday, 13th of December, 2014 Orbus Global Solutions vocational training started at exactly 10:00am with an Opening Prayer. Before the commencement of the grouping of the participants the community leader gave a speech on what orbus has come to do, the advantages and urged everyone to come and participate. The participants were grouped into vocational training units:
1. Bag Making and Ankara Crafts
2. Shoe Making and Leather Works
3. Leads and Wireworks
The training involved both theory and practical as the facilitators took time to attend to everyone. Training kits was also given to all groups. In the course of the training, questions were welcomed and everyone worked as a team. About 60 people benefited from the vocational training. Individually, the trainee produced or partook in making an item. At the end of the program, twenty purses and Ankara crafts, ten beads and about seven different types of shoes were made. The program was very successful. The people of the community were grateful for the training and urged Orbus Global Solution to make effort to execute more community development project.
